Quirky Blue Bird Brooch - Grade B

A handmade and colored ceramic looking bird pin made from shrink plastic.

❀ How I made this bird brooch in my home studio aka study/workroom:
First I draw and base colour the bird on my pc with my digital stylus. Then I print it out on shrink plastic, after which I cut the bird out and then cooked (shrink) it in the oven. Once it has cooled I colour it again with wooden colour pencils, alcohol markers, gold marker and painted with some metallic gold paint. When dry I cover the front of the bird in a UV resin and cure it (let harden).
Next to the back of the bird I added 2 metal pins and secure in place with a layer of resin. Rubber caps are then added to complete the pin.

❀ As this bird brooch and others that I make are handmade imperfections and oppies such as the backs of the brooch may have some paint speckles on them. Since they are hand coloured, cut etc. each one will be a little different.

This bird pin is cute arty adornment to a dress, jacket, hat, backpack. The 2 pins on the back keep it in the position you wish it to stay.

The resin finish adds some hardiness to this one of a kind wearable art piece, and the lightness of the shrink plastic does not make the brooch does not effect the flow of your material.

Approximate dimensions are shown in the above photos.

Please note that while sealed with your brooch may not be 100% waterproof so please do not submerge in water.

✿..✿ I have given this brooch a Grade B grade due to the resin that filled the area between the feathers and or the back of the bird came out with more imperfection than I like ✿..✿

The brooch will be securely packed and post via tracked mail.
